Prince Miloš Pavilion
Located within the broader spa complex “Park Bukovička Banja” in Aranđelovac, the Prince Miloš Pavilion is a multipurpose facility that served as the first factory in Serbia to bottle mineral water. It was built in 1907 on the site of a spring whose catchment was established in 1839, during the arrival of Princess Ljubica in Aranđelovac. Designed by the prominent architect Branko Tanazović, the pavilion is one of the first buildings in Serbia to use reinforced concrete in its construction. This splendidly decorated masterpiece of secession with elements of national style consisted of three parts: the mineral water spring, the bottling center, and the confectionery section. Today, the complex houses mineral water obtained from the surrounding springs, as well as a small museum about Bukovička Banja and an art gallery.
The restoration carried out by our team of experts was demanding due to the neglected and heavily damaged condition of the building, worsened by the floods of 2014. The rehabilitation was successfully completed in 2016, involving securing the structural elements of the building, installing rain and groundwater protection elements, with particular attention paid to restoring the plaster facade, windows, and main entrance doors.
This project received the European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage “Europa Nostra” in the Conservation category in 2018.
