Old Poste Office

At the site of the old Post Office building in Savska Street, a new cultural institution is under construction that will combine both the Archaeological Museum and a theater. The new building will retain a replica of the original façade designed by architect Momir Korunović in 1929, executed in the Serbian-Byzantine style with elements of Expressionism and Secession, combined with a modern interior.

With this Project, Belgrade will gain a representative cultural venue that merges heritage with contemporary needs. The Project is being carried out by “Belgrade Waterfront” in cooperation with the city, and the building will remain publicly owned. The planned gross floor area is around 10,880 m², with entrances from Savski Trg and Savska Street.
