Building of the Croatian-Slavonian National Central Savings Bank

The three-story commercial–residential building of the Croatian-Slavonian National Central Savings Bank, located at 25–27 Ilica Street / 2 Gundulićeva Street in Zagreb, was constructed in 1906–1907. By a final decision of the Ministry of Culture, Directorate for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, in 2011, the building was entered into the Register of Cultural Properties of the Republic of Croatia as an individually protected immovable cultural asset, and it is also part of the protected historical–urban complex of the City of Zagreb.

This monumental three-story building is particularly distinguished by its richly decorated rounded corner projection. Alongside several Art Nouveau decorative elements, the design is dominated by traditional features—sculptural ornaments, columns, half-columns, and pilasters, baroque cartouches, and a corner dome.

Since March 2025, we have been successfully carrying out works on the highly demanding street façades, combining craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail to ensure a lasting restoration.

The works include the renewal and reconstruction of all cornice profiles.
