Station PROKOP

Belgrade was left without a main railway station in 2018 when its old building, a cultural monument, was closed after 134 years due to the construction of the Belgrade Waterfront project. Its function, but only for domestic traffic, was then taken over by Prokop, a station that has been under construction for over 45 years.

The new main railway station “Belgrade center” will have a station building with parking (88 spaces), with a total area of ​​5,650 square meters, including covered exits from platforms one and six, with an area of ​​about 600 square meters.

The financier and partner of the state in the construction of the station building and commercial facilities at the main railway station is the company RAILWAY CITY LTD.

The contract envisaged phased construction, with the first phase being the construction of the station building and part of the parking area. The partner also committed to financing the construction of the station building in accordance with the building permit, while the construction of other facilities will be in line with the partner’s market and business policy.
