VISITOR'S CENTER

The Golubac Fortress is an imposing fortress located on the banks of the Danube, near the town of the same name, believed to have been built at the end of the 13th and beginning of the 14th century by the Hungarians. With its impressive towers and walls, this fortress dating back to the Middle Ages played a crucial role in protecting the river. Its architectural beauty and rich history attract visitors from all over the world. The fortress underwent numerous changes over the centuries, from owners to purpose, and today represents an important cultural monument of Serbia.

We are pleased to highlight the successfully executed works on the construction of the Visitor Center in the Golubac area, as well as the performance of important works on the technical infrastructure in the Golubac Fortress zone. The Visitor Center at the foot of the fortress will retain its current function – the left block will be a cafeteria complemented by terraces, while the right block will remain an information desk, souvenir shop, and exhibition with archaeological finds found in the Lower Town of the fortress, providing a general picture of all civilizations that lived in that area. Our dedication to these projects has contributed to the creation of an attractive and functional space for visitors while simultaneously contributing to the preservation and enhancement of this cultural and historical location.
