Vidin gate

The Vidin Gate is located within the bastion route of the North-Eastern Front and is the main entrance on the eastern approach to the Lower Town.

The restoration project of the extensive walls of the Vidin gate with casemates envisages works on the restoration of the outer face of the curtains with marks 2, 5, 6, 7 and 8, as well as the facades and flanks of Bastion II, together with the associated gunnery. The projected state in terms of dimensions and volume is the same as the existing state. The planned works relate to the reconstruction, conservation, restoration and revitalization of the building and the arrangement of the newly formed plateau in front of the casemate.
